Hello and welcome to Roka Roko — a space where craftsmanship, creativity and culture come together.
Our business model is rooted in custom design, which is why you’ll find a curated selection rather than an overwhelming catalogue. The pieces available for purchase are our current best sellers: garments we love, and that many others have embraced. Most of these designs are free‑fit silhouettes, chosen intentionally because they offer versatility, comfort and a lower risk of fit issues compared to more structured, tailored pieces.
We are a dedicated team of three, working from our studio in Bushbuckridge, each bringing unique strengths that shape our work every day. My own journey spans 14 years of formal experience — and many more spent experimenting with fabric long before fashion became my profession. Roka Roko began in the east of Johannesburg, and since then, I’ve created more garments than I can count.
This blog will be a home for conversations about fashion, clothing, the business of fashion, retail, and the social issues woven into our industry. I think deeply, speak passionately and write with intention — a combination that makes this platform the perfect extension of who I am. As a South African with experience across retail, fashion and business, I’m committed to sharing knowledge and skills that uplift others.
Thank you for being here. Please share our blog, our website, our social media pages, and the outfits we’ve created for you. Your support helps us grow, create and inspire.
Warm regards, Brigette
